even though i’ve been working 6 or 7 days a week all summer long, i’m making an effort to find fun and creative activities that my boys love. we visit lots of farms and take mini road trips to interesting places. they LOVE learning, just like their mama, and that is one addiction i will gladly encourage! i also had a chance to escape for two whole nights for a kid-free weekend. of course i missed the boys like CRAZY. here are just a few snapshots from some of our summer adventures…

we took the boys to visit harpers ferry, WV for their first time! i have so many fond childhood memories of this adorable little town nestled in the gorgeous mountains. for nostalgic tradition, we put pennies on the rails and when we came back from lunch they were flattened by the train. the boys were thrilled!
