my first jamaican wedding!!!! it was an absolutely wonderful experience for all of my 5 senses. the music was perfection. reggae is one of the happiest sounds on the planet. the guests were dressed in bright, bold colors – eye candy galore! the setting was the home of the grooms parents – a gorgeous former plantation in north eastern maryland. the bride’s beaming smile from ear to ear set the joyful tone of the day. and the food… Oh Em Gee… every dish among the jamaican feast that i had the pleasure of enjoying was worthy of it’s own blog post. i was even inspired to recreate the curried goat the following week and serve it for a dinner party. it was a huge hit! back to the wedding, the day was sprinkled with happy tears, lovely speeches, and a whole lot of partying on the dance floor. hands down one of my most favorite weddings of all time, and of course it was made even more special by having my second shooter and partner in life by my side. we felt so welcome among this warm and generous group. so many sweet memories to hold onto.
