This sweet new baby girl came to visit my Maryland photography studio on her one week birthday. Mom brought a few newborn headbands that she wanted to include, and we played around with lots of different fabrics, colors and textures from my huge prop closet. If you are thinking of purchasing a few items to make your newborn session a little unique, I recommend EcoStreet on Etsy for newborn session props. Adorable baby H slept pretty well, and it was definitely helpful that she had a bath and over an hour of awake time just before coming to my warm and cozy studio. Keeping baby awake for some time is at the top of my newborn session checklist that I send to all parents before their appointment with me. We started and ended our newborn session with baby swaddled nice and snug, and in between we were able to unwrap her to get gorgeous portraits showing off her perfect infant skin. I can’t wait to photograph this beautiful little lady again around the holidays when she’s about 6 months old and full of smiles and giggles.
