Most newborns I photograph are under two weeks old, as they tend to be sleepier and easier to pose when they are fresh to the outside world. This guy came to visit my home studio in North Potomac at 5 weeks old, so I knew it would take some extra work to get him to shut those gorgeous soulful baby eyes. After his mama and I worked hard swaddling, nursing and rocking this sweet little boy, he couldn’t fight the sandman any longer and gave in to a nap. We captured him in the cutest newborn poses and his mommy got variety of adorable portraits! Everything about this sweet boy was so perfect – his big brown eyes, gorgeous hair, and those squishy little rolls!
