My favorite way to photograph kids is in their natural state. It’s not always easy to create that environment during a photo shoot, but whenever possible, I try to distract kiddos from their “job” of taking nice family photos, and engage them in a game or a little conversation to distract them. This often results in the best and most relaxed smiles, giggles and playful images. It also results in some amazing material for my annual outtakes and bloopers posts!
These two gorgeous children are so sweet and fun to photograph. I love how their personalities shine through in these images. Parents also chose great outfits and did an awesome job coordinating colors and patterns. I love the sweet and simple look – it will never go out of style and then the facial expressions and interactions become the focus of the images.
