i didn’t jump on any 365/52 or whatever trendy bandwagon photographers start January 1st to motivate themselves to take more pictures at home. i love the idea of taking creative photos of my own children, and just shooting for myself in general, but let’s get real. the LAST thing i need to add to my schedule is an additional stess and a fictional deadline to make me feel accomplished, or more likely, a failure. for all those photogs and momtogs who are keeping up with your annual picture-a-day challenge, that is truly awesome and i admire you. it just ain’t for me. so when i do bust out my camera in the presence of my rugrats, it’s an event in itself to celebrate. today was one of those days. i just took a couple snaps at bathtime with my little old backup camera, a canon rebel, using my nifty fifty (50mm 1.8) and a speedlite. and i kind of love the results. simple and sweet moments of my favorite boys in the whole world.
