Having a sweet newborn in my studio is always such a treat! I love being among the first to meet the brand new tiny human that joined a family, and taking a family’s very first portrait is such an honor. This mom and dad came to my studio for their maternity portraits when she was already 37 weeks pregnant, which was cutting it close! Luckily, their little guy stayed cooking long enough for us to capture the quiet and exciting time just before a new baby arrives. Their newborn session took place just a few short weeks after when baby was 10 day old! Baby B slept like a champ and let us pose him with all of the props mom and dad requested. This was my first time photographing a brand new baby with dad’s Army dog tags. It’s always fun to personalize newborn images for families, so I encourage parents to bring any sentimental items to their sessions with me. I can’t wait to see how big this guy is when we do his 6 month baby session this summer!
